Why the Patricia Hart Society was
established…
United Way of Williamson County recognized that local women
have the desire to become engaged and involved in promoting
philanthropy, mentorship, volunteerism and advocacy. Through
the development of the Patricia Hart Society, United Way seeks
to provide an opportunity for members to learn about the health
and human service needs in Williamson County and provide members
with hands-on experience in addressing these needs.
Our vision is to create an opportunity for women to take
a leadership role in positively impacting the community. Williamson
County resident and active community volunteer, Patricia Hart
agreed to lend her name to this endeavor because of her strong
belief in United Way and as she puts it, “because extraordinary
things happen when women come together.”
There are three focus areas to the
Women’s Initiative:
Events - Plan and host special events with
the Patricia Hart Society to aupport United Way partner agencies.
Membership - Develop membership recruitment
materials. Plan and host membership functions. Recruit Patricia
Hart Society members. Create annual membership directory.
Volunteer/Project Management - Coordinate
Patricia Hart Society members with service projects and communicate
opportunities for involvement in United Way volunteer projects.
