United
Way of Williamson County created an endowment fund in 1998
in order to further our planning for the future. Along with
the tremendous growth in Williamson County and the current
prosperity will come increases in community needs. We cannot
assume that the prosperity will continue to bring ever-increasing
campaigns.
Our endowment fund will assist us in meeting future needs
because:
- It is a permanent fund which cannot be spent but provides
income for addressing future needs
- It assures the clients of our agencies that services will
be available to them even in the event of a campaign shortfall
or when the agency has some extraordinary need
Our endowment fund is administered by The Community Foundation
of Middle Tennessee. The Foundation is charged with investing
the fund for maximum earnings within the limit of safety.
Endowment earnings are distributed each year along with campaign
dollars to address critical human needs in our community.
We also are members on the GivingMatters
web site.
You may contribute to the United Way of Williamson County
Endowment Fund in the following ways:
- An outright gift of cash, securities, real estate, life
insurance or other property
- A gift to perpetuate the memory of a beloved family member
or friend
- A bequest in your will or living trust
- A life income gift
The United Way of Williamson County Endowment Fund ensures
that financial resources will be available in the future to
address community needs while providing donors an opportunity
to maximize the advantages of charitable giving.
