Ways To Engage

United Way has established several social initiatives that bring together individuals with similar interests in helping the community.  How do we change the world? With a little help from each of us...

Medius Circle (Medius is Greek for community)

United Way of Williamson County recognized the need to engage and involve a new generation of leaders in community involvement. Through the development of the Medius Circle, United Way seeks to provide an opportunity for young professionals to learn about the health and human service needs in Williamson County and provide members with hands-on experience in addressing these needs.

Patricia Hart Society

The Patricia Hart Society is a group of dedicated women in Williamson County who support the needs of our community and have joined together to encourage women of all ages and backgrounds to help in the work of United Way.  Our vision is to create an opportunity for women to take a leadership role in positively impacting the community. Williamson County resident and active community volunteer, Patricia Hart, community philanthropist, advocate and volunteer, agreed to lend her name to this endeavor because of her strong belief in United Way and as she puts it, “because extraordinary things happen when women come together.”

YAC (Youth Advisory Council)

YAC is dedicated to empowering youth to make their own decisions, help out their community and take an active role in their own lives. The group focuses on leadership, civic responsibilities and self determination.  Criteria for membership: High School students 9-12th grade with the desire to make a difference.

 On The Ground Men

On The Ground Men is an association of local men with the desire to support the needs of the communities in Williamson County. This group actively particiaptes in a variety of projects that span from the intellectual, the charitable or just plain "guy stuff."  Through the partner agencies of United Way of Williamson County, these men utilize skills they have developed in their work and personal lives with hands-on experience in addressing community needs.
