Ways To Engage

United Way has established several social initiatives that bring together individuals with similar interests in helping the community.  How do we change the world? With a little help from each of us...

United Way of Williamson County's Medius Circle is an affinity group for young professionals.  The mission of the Medius Circle is to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods where we live and work.  To accomplish this mission, the Medius Circle encourages philanthropy, promotes volunteerism, and offers young leaders many opportunities for personal and professional growth.   To learn more about Medius Circle and how you can join please email Sandra Putnam or call 615-771-2312.

The Patricia Hart Society is a group of dedicated women in Williamson County who support the needs of our community and have joined together to encourage women of all ages and backgrounds to help in the work of United Way.  Our vision is to create an opportunity for women to take a leadership role in positively impacting the community. Williamson County resident Patricia Hart, active community volunteer, community philanthropist and advocate, agreed to lend her name to this endeavor because of her strong belief in United Way and as she puts it, “because extraordinary things happen when women come together.”  To learn more about or join the Patricia Hart Society, email Debby Rainey or call 615-771-2312.

YAC is dedicated to empowering youth to make their own decisions, help improve their community and take an active role in their own lives. YAC is open to any 9th thru 12th grade student who is interested in community service and enhancing their leadership abilities.  Members of YAC help to raise awareness about community needs.  They discuss community issues, plan events, volunteer in the community, raise money and decide how the money raised is allocated.  These students receive the satisfaction of knowing they made a difference in someone's life and in their community.  Interested in joining YAC or want additional information?  Email Carla Arnette or call 615-771-2312.
