Allocations Panels
Allocation Volunteers meet each spring. This group of 70+ community volunteers make funding recommendations to the United Way Board. Their responsibilities include:
- Reviewing funding applications
- Meeting with representatives from each agency applying for funding
- Developing funding recommendations
Community Development-Financial Stability Committee
This group works to find ways to Improve people’s lives through support and education, and awareness that will enable them to become financially stable. Their objectives include:
- Provide financial literacy for people who need help with budgeting, homeownership and credit issues
- Sponsor VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) sites throughout Williamson County
- Provide financial resource materials
- Encourage development of workforce housing in Williamson County
- Increase community awareness of the problems of financial instability and of the resources available to address those problems
Community Development-Health Committee
This committee plans to identify health needs in our county and to coordinate health options to fill gaps in services. Although still in the planning process, the Health Steering Committee has decided to initially focus upon the following issue:

A holistic wellness initiative that will encourage proper nutrition, physical exercise and health maintenance for children and adults. The goal of this partnership and wellness program is to create a culture of wellness so that an entire community will support efforts to improve health and physical fitness. The plan is to start in the Cool Springs business community and develop a pilot project that can be adapted to all communities in Williamson County.
