The new VWC, provided by a generous grant from Volunteer Tennessee, serves as a resource for all Williamson County residents and all Williamson County nonprofit agencies. With a single contact, individuals in search of one-time volunteer projects or on-going, volunteer positions can be linked to available openings. For 2011 Volunteer Williamson County helped to coordinate 4,343 volunteer hours and engaged 715 volunteers.

Volunteer Williamson County, the volunteer action center of United Way of Williamson County, is looking for residents who are interested in giving their time to this important education program. “Raise Your Hand Williamson”- Reading mentors work one-on-one with children to improve 3rd grade reading levels.
