Whatever you choose to give, you have the power to help other people. If everyone gave just a dollar a week or increased their contribution by $1 a week--think of what a difference that would make in your community! Here are just a few examples of what $1 a week can do:
$1 a week
- ensures that 2 children, who might go home alone to an empty house, are not on the street after school
- enrolls an Alzheimer’s patient in a Safe Return program in case they wander from their home
- provides electricity for 2 days at a Domestic Violence Shelter
- gives 2 GED workbooks to individuals committed to improving their situation by completing their high
school education
- provides 1 day of loving and educational childcare for 3 children of low-income families - better preparing
them to succeed in school and life
- supports 1 day of services for an adult with mental disabilities - interaction with others, developing
potential skills and a few hours of rest for their caregiver
